My Colleague’s Soleminsation
No, I can’t attend his soleminsation ceremony.
It is the busy time of the year for my department (actually seems like we are always busy) 
and I can’t go on half day.
A crappy joker by day and a faithful lover by night, haha. I believe he longs for a family of his own for a long time.

Unexpected Calls & SMSes
I have been receiving unexpected calls & messages recently. Does this got to do with the festive season ? beats me. Here are some examples:
Guy 1: Hi this is XXX. Who is this on the line ?
me: (I was thinking-what the hell. you called me and asked me who is this on the line , as if you have just received a miss call from me. duh.- although i know who is he, but i didn’t call him in the first place !!! Since that’s the case, I will just pretend that I don’t know him !!!) Sorry, I guess you have got the wrong number. …ya … bye.
Guy 2: (sms msg) What’s your msn address ?
me: Sorry, I don’t recognise your number. Who is this ?
Guy 2: You should recognise my number.
me: Who are you ? (I was thinking maybe it’s my primary school classmate who changes her mobile number, then I tried calling… no one answered.)
Guy 2: (sms msg) Sorry I was in the toilet.
Private number: (calls) Hi, this is XXX calling from $$$ bank. We are doing a marketing survey with our clients. May I know how old are you ?
me: (This guy thinks i am gullible ya ? haha) Sorry, which branch are you calling from and what kind of survey is this ?
Private number: (silence for 2 seconds) I am calling from ###.
(not convinced. too abrupt and he doesn’t identify himself and purpose properly.)
me: Sorry, I don’t wish to participate in the survey…thanks, bye.
Guy 2: (calls) Hey its me.
me: (heard the voice, trying to think how on earth he has my number.) Sorry, I really can’t recall who you are.
Guy 2: (ok, he is a real joker.) Oh remember we were dancing all night last weekend ……… blah blah
(ok, he exaggerated quite a bit, but alright, I remembered now…he actually took my number for real.)
Oh well. Life’s just full of unexpected events. Maybe this is what makes life more interesting. hmm.
What irks me
- When people just come in without knocking on the door, especially when you are having a meeting or teleconferencing. (just happened- from HR – OMG!!!!)
- When people take a long time to decide what they want to eat on the menu. (can’t they just ask?)
- When people rush to the toilet cubicle when they know you are the next on queue. (if you are really urgent, just say so instead of cutting through like that !!!)
- When people lean their WHOLE body against the MRT railings. (ALWAYS happen !!! I feel like leaning on their body too…..)
- ………………….
I just don’t understand why some people lack basic courtesy.

Welcome home……
My brother touched down Singapore this evening.
I was supposed to leave office on the dot to join my family for dinner but still, I couldn’t make it.
It’s been about 4 months since he left for UK. If I were him, I will probably come back in Feb – after the exams, reasons being very simple and logical:
- Exams in Jan – Concentrate in mugging rather than coming back to a place with all the distractions
- Waste of time – Coming back for only 3 weeks……urgh !
- Money matters – Why doesn’t he maximise the 1 year open ticket ?
- Feb is CNY, and this is the best time for a reunion
but of course, I know- very well- that he misses home (+ erhem. his gf) alot.

Ugly Duckling to Swan ??
What is this about me turning from ugly duckling to swan ? *roll-eyes*
I just got to know from my colleagues that another colleague said that I have turned from an ugly duckling to a swan. I don’t know if I should take it as a compliment or insult. So you mean I used to be ugly?!!!! …….. urgh !
Well, I am still me, just that I dress up more (then again, not really at work …..hmm.) or should I say love does wonders to ugly girls like me ? *Duh*
On a positive note, I hope I am still a swan for many years to come but come to think of it, I ain’t no dainty, graceful, demure like swans should be. haha.
